Our Purpose
Food allergies are on the rise. Unfortunately, every year people perish from this type of allergy. Often, the stories of those who pass away are momentarily highlighted in the news with little follow-up. Many questions are left lingering. The National Food Allergy Death Registry was created to highlight the personal stories and specifics of those lost to food allergies in the United States.
Mission
To share the stories and raise awareness of those who have died of food allergies in the United States.
Vision
To discover more about those lost to food allergies. To gain a fuller understanding of how, why, when and where people succumb to their food allergies in the United States.
Stacy Dorris, M.D.
Stacy is a Pediatric Allergist and Immunologist working at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to moving to Nashville in 2003, she lived in a variety of cities including Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City. She has a brother and a daughter with food allergies, so she lives with this concern daily.
